Season's Greetings and Best Wishes for the New Year!
AOGS wishes all members and friends a great holiday season and happy 2011!

Thank You for Visiting the AOGS Exhibition Booth and Attending the Reception
AOGS would like to thank members and guests for their overwhelming support at the "AOGS Connects Session" which took place at the recently completed 2010 AGU Fall Meeting which was held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Over 1,500 visitors called at the exhibition booth and about 150 guests attended the 16 December reception to witness the MOU signing between AOGS and AGU to jointly organize the 2012 AOGS-AGU (WPGM) Joint Assembly which will be held in Singapore.

AOGS Celebrates the Honoring of Kenji Satake and Yuntai Chen at the 2010 Fall AGU
AOGS congratulates Professor Satake and Professor Chen on being recognized for their exceptional accomplishments in the science of geophysics. Both have also contributed to the development of AOGS.
Professor Kenji Satake was AOGS Secretary General (2004 to 2006) and President of the Solid Earth Section (2006 to 2008). He has been AOGS Honorary Auditor since 2008. Kenji is Chair of the AOGS Editorial Committee and the Editor-in-Chief of the 6-volume set of Advances in Geosciences that AOGS publishes annually. Professor Yuntai Chen was President of the Solid Earth Section (2004 to 2006).
