| Session Description | Currently there are about twenty lidar observatories established in Asia with two lidar networks, AD-Net and NIES Lidar Network. Lidar workers in the Asian region in the past used to meet every year to discuss Asian dust, aerosols and pollution measurements, and other related issues. In 2007, we will have the 7th meeting joining AOGS in Bangkok. Discussions will be addressed on the traditional issues as well as topics including new experimental methods and intercomparison of results based on lidars, model calculations, and related instruments. There will be oral and poster presentations. Researchers in the Asia as well as from other parts of the world are welcome to attend this meeting. Lidar Networks in other regions are also welcome to exchange ideas and experiences. |
