Session Title | Laboratory Astrochemphysics |
Main Convener | Prof. C. Y. Robert Wu (University of Southern California, United States) |
Co-convener(s) | Dr. David L. Huestis (SRI International, United States) Dr. Bing-Ming Cheng (National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center, Taiwan) |
Session Description | The proposed Special Laboratory Session is intended to bring together laboratory researchers (experimentalists, theorists, and modelers), astrophysics and astrochemistry researchers (atmospheric, planetary, and cometary observers, theorists, and modelers), and other interested researchers. The research areas include all spectral ranges of laboratory investigations and astronomic observations. The session serves as a professional forum to disseminate and advance scientific knowledge, further discuss emerging ideas and insights on astrochemphysics and its integration across various branches of science and technology. It is important to promote the dialogues among interdisciplinary researchers, especially in Asia, and hence to increase the collaboration and cross fertilization of ideas to ensure the continual growth of scientific understanding as well as the community. Invited talks should consist of laboratory, astronomical observations, theory and modeling. Participants from Asian countries should strongly be encouraged. |
