| Session Description | The ocean predictions have improved dramatically in recent years due to dedicated research efforts, emerging observing systems, increase of computing power, advances in numerical models and data assimilation techniques. This session aims on topics of measurement, modeling, data assimilation, hindcast, nowcast and forecast of coastal oceans and seas around Asia and Pacific rims. The papers related to the developments of regional ocean model and data assimilation techniques are welcome. Studies related to climate impact (e.g. ENSO, PDO), multi-scale (time-and space) forcing processes and interaction, coastal waves, across-shelf transports, wind-driven circulation are encouraged to contribute to the session. |
