| Session Description | This session is focused on the research studies of circulation, internal waves, fronts and eddies, air-sea interaction, and environmental monitoring based on modeling, remote sensing, and field experiment. Recent experiments have been carried out in the South China Sea, Luzon Strait, and Spratly Islands. Satellite remote sensing using SAR, Landsat, SPOT, Altimetry, SeaWiFS, and MODIS are very useful tools to study oceanic processes in the South China Sea. All interdisciplinary studies in the South China Sea and neighboring areas are welcome. |
