Session Description | To obtain tangible outcomes from the eGY program, it is required that Earth and space sciences be in close harmony with information technologies. This session is proposed to discuss general subjects of informatics relating to Earth and space sciences, such as high-performance computing, sensor networks, network data management including GRID technologies, software engineering and interoperability, visualization including virtual Earth globe services, knowledge extraction from virtual data repositories, semantic web and ontology, and other e-science technologies and their scientific benefits. Presentations about eGY showcases, achievement and products concerning with eGY campaigns are also welcome. |
