Section PS - Planetary Sciences
Session Title Meteor Science
Main Convener Dr. Toshihiro Kasuga (IfA, University of Hawaii, United States)
Co-convener(s) Dr. Masateru Ishiguro (Seoul National University, Korea, South)
Session Description The study of the meteor is believed to be clue for understanding
the origin, compositions, evolution process of small bodies
in the solar system and the dynamical evolution process of
meteoroids in interplanetary space.

This session includes dynamics, sources and spatial distribution
of sporadic, streams and interstellar meteoroids, physics
and chemistry of meteoroid interaction in the atmosphere,
meteor spectroscopy, chemical composition of meteoroids,
interplanetary dust particles, micro-meteorites, new techniques for
detection of meteors using satellites or spacecraft.
Our session gives the opportunity to approach the latest
topics of meteor science.
