| Session Description |
This session deals with various water-related disasters, focusing on new ideas and technologies of monitoring and prediction of hazards such as floods, droughts, water quality, and river basin environment. Research papers on remote sensing (RS) and gegraphic information systems (GIS), and spatial meteorological, hydrological, hydraulic and limnological modeling are welcome. Policy issues for mitigating and managing disasters caused by the hazards can also be discussed during the session in terms of water-related planning, disaster risk mapping, informaton dissemination, and emergency management. |
