Asia Pacific region is still suffering from and/or getting benefit from floods on a variety of scales of time and space. Earth observational data on nature and society, from satellite-based sources such as Sentinel Asia, IFNet-GFAS, Dartmouth Flood Observatory, etc. to most fundamental in-situ ones should take an important role for sound decision making to cope with flood-related risks. This session welcomes any examples to effectively utilize such earth observational data for flood management from local/technical to global/governance levels, and offers a chance to exchange such ideas and discussions.
