| Session Description | Case studies and comparisons of eruptions aid understanding of pre-eruption and eruptive processes in general. Papers in this session can examine eruption precursors, dynamics, and effects, and the roles of regional and local tectonics, petrology, volcanic degassing, and groundwater. Observational, experimental, and modeling approaches are welcome. |
