| Session Description | It is essential to achieve flood loss reduction throughout the world by decreasing the vulnerability to flood impacts and damages. To resolve these problems, it is needed that nonstructural measures such as flood information systems as well as structural measures such as river improvement and detention/retention basin supplement for flood control. Main Topics of this session are as follows : (1) Flood forecasting by using Information and Space Technology(IT & ST) (2) Flood control plan and design technology (3) Basinwide flood protection and flood risk mapping (4) Flood disaster management system. |
