| Session Description | We welcome contributions related to the analysis of time series of oceanographic and climatic data sets collected in the Asia Oceania region. We particularly welcome contributions focusing on the Indo-Pacific connection. Both studies of recent data sets as well as paleoreconstructions are welcome. We particularly invite contributions on novel methods of (especially nonlinear) time series (or, more general, data) analysis and their application to geoscientific observations and/or models. Methods to be discussed include, but are not limited to: - linear and non-linear methods of time series analysis - multivariate (especially spatio-temporal) data analysis - time-frequency methods - predictive approaches - statistical inference for nonlinear time series - nonlinear statistical decomposition - nonlinear correlation analysis and synchronization - surrogate data techniques - filtering approaches and nonlinear methods of noise reduction. |
