| Session Description |
Ocean data assimilation plays an important role in the simulation and prediction of oceanic and climate variability. The purpose of the session is to review the state of the art in modelling data-assimilation and inversion, using both satellite and in-situ data, including XBT, TAO, Argo etc. in the domains of regional or global ocean. This session invites contributions from researchers who try to develop data assimilation methods and from those who try to assimilate various oceanic observations. Contributions on the role of Argo observations in the ocean analysis are encouraged. |
