Session Description | Wind erosion is a serious environmental problem in arid and seni-arid regions in Asia and many other parts of the world. Recently dust storms have been remarkably increased in their intensity and occurrence frequency especially in the Asian continents. This section will focus on the physical and chemical processes of Aeolian dust and its impact on the environment, especially for the processes on 1) Dust emission 2) Long-range transport 3) Deposition 4) Interactions with other aerosols and gases pollutants and, it will also include 5) Development of the dust forecasting model 6) Size distribution of the Aeolian dust 7) Impacts on climate and environment 8) Other relevent phenomena in association with the Aeolian dust |
