Session Description | Mangroves , lagoons, rice field and other land form which holds water in most of the years similar to permanent water bodies are perceived to be a major contributor for the global GHG emissions. They also sequester various forms of Carbon and play a major role in their cycling . Man has also considerably altering the land use change in these region which is a major reason for their release of GHG . Hence a detailed study on its role world over has bee understood for getting a realistic picture of their role in GHG emission. The role of carbonate and silicate weathering and the contribution form weathering load from river will also be assessed.s |
