| Session Description | Lidar research has become increasingly active in Asia in recent years with the establishment of many new facilities and research programs. Asian Lidar Conference will provide an opportunity for researchers and students to regularly get together to discuss and learn about lidar techniques and remote sensing of environment, atmosphere, and space. This meeting will be the 8th conference following the 7th held in Bangkok in2007 associated with AOGS. Discussions will be, but not limited, on the issues on lidar research such as instrumentation, observation, interpretations, and lidar network. Related topics on the basic physics and optical measurements, modeling, theory, passive observations, satellite remote sensing, and so on will be also welcome. There will be oral and poster presentations. Researchers in the Asia as well as from other parts of the world are welcome to attend this meeting. |
