Session Description | High-pressure mineral physics holds the key to understanding the origin and evolution of the interior structures of the Earth. Recent years have seen fast development in this research field, both experimentally and theoretically. This session will focus on the high-pressure behavior of minerals, either obtained by high-pressure experiments or theoretical calculations. The purpose of this session is to encourage communication and discussion among different scientific groups. We solicit papers in different research disciplines of minerals at high-pressure conditions, such as equation-of-state, velocity measurement, vibrational investigation, rheology study, elasticity determination, electrical conductivity measurement, etc. Papers that integrate available data or compare old and new data, with implication to the geodynamic process of the Earth’s interior, are also welcome. |
