| Session Description | The innermost planet of our Solar System still holds may secrets. The NASA MESSENGER mission has revealed in many ways a completely new planet to us. It also has created many new questions that hopefully the ESA-JAXA BepiColombo mission will answer. We invited contributions from both spacecraft teams, as well as from ground observers, modelers and laboratories. Only in combining all these approaches will we be able to unravel the secrets of Mercury and learn more about the formation of this planet and thereby about the formation of the Solar System. |
