| Session Description | This session solicit contributions on historical earthquake studies such as collection of historical data from archives, establishment of seismic intensity scales, compilation of historical earthquake catalogues, and geological studies such as trenching surveys across active faults, identifications of liquefaction features, and searching for evidences of such catastrophic events at archaeological sites or tsunami deposits in coastal environments. Along with these, contributions on behaviour of fault segments, pattern of deformation, recurrence interval and seismic hazard analysis such as for long term earthquake forecasts, including the probabilistic earthquake forecasting are also expected. |
