Session Description | In recent years and in the next decade, we will face to issues on global environmental changes that occur in various spatio-temporal scales. The earth environmental observation satellites and data became the necessary basic data to tackle and solve those issues. Due to the recent advancement in the sensor technique, the data analysis algorithm, and the computing technique, the satellite observation has been showing rapid progress, and the time is changing from examining the accuracy of the observation sensor data to the advancement of the data application, leading to broaden potential users. Although earth environmental remote sensing studies tended to be discussed separately in the individual community such as atmosphere, ocean, land and cryosphere, so far, in these days where application became synergetic and cross disciplinary field. Now, it's a time to sharing our knowledge and idea. Thus, we propose a session that aims to share scientific knowledge, data analysis techniques, ideas of satellite/sensor synergy, and application, on earth environmental observing satellites. Both polar orbiting and geostationary satellites / sensors are welcome. |
