Session Description | Weather records as well as upper atmospheric/geomagnetic data for the several decades and more are crucial in order to project the future as well as the past climate. In Asia and Oceania, contributions to digitize, quality control and development of secondary products (e.g. gridding, meteorological reanalyses) have begun. Reliable and transparent assessments of the qualified observational data are crucial for understanding changing climate including solar impact and anthropogenic interference. The success of such studies depends on interdisciplinary works and on the data availability and/or interoperability of the existing databases. Here we welcome topics on the development and improvement of atmospheric database, assessment of the database, and application in various kinds of geophysical studies. We also invite you to submit abstracts on any activities to encourage opening data and to acknowledge data scientists including data providers. |
