Co-convener(s) | Prof. Geoff Austin (U. Auckland, New Zealand) Prof. Qiuming Cheng (China University of Geosciences, China) |
Session Description | This session provides the opportunity for contributions that are within the broad spectrum of Nonlinear Geophysics and Complexity, i.e. with a particular emphasis on methodologies to capture these ubiquitous features of geophysical phenomena. This includes, but is not limited to: - cascade processes and (multi-) fractals - self-organized criticality - random dynamical systems - complex networks - emergent laws - big data |
