Co-convener(s) Dr. Chih-Chao Ho (Feng Chia University, Taiwan)

Session Description Water is one of the finite resources and it is vital for agriculture, industrial, household, recreational, and environmental activities for human. How to allocate this finite water resource rationally among different water use sector is a challenge for water resources management. Moreover, human development and climate change make water resources management more difficult than ever. Economic development needs more water and produces more pollution, while climate change causes the distribution of precipitation more unevenly both in temporal and spatial dimensions.
Hence, the session purpose is to discuss the impact of human activities and climate change on water resources and the responses to overcome those impacts. The session is intended to provide a platform to present and discuss innovative research results through collective perspectives for mutual benefits.
