Session Description | The Asia region is home of large ecosystem diversity and fastest growing economies in the world. The growth in economy exert enormous pressure on the living conditions in the region, e.g., the air pollution has emerged as a visible indication of that pressure. However, the ecosystems around us suffer a great deal from the demand in food production, industrial needs. In the world, Asia is still experiencing large scale deforestation and hosts 3 countries out of 5 top emitters of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere. Methane, Nitrous oxide and Carbon monoxide emissions are also on the rise in Asia, while those emissions are declining in the North America and Western Europe. We welcome submission of abstracts from the international communities on the measurements and modelling of greenhouse gases and their processors with an emphasis on the Asia region. Any estimation of greenhouse gases fluxes using bottom-up inventories or terrestrial flux measurements and modelling or top-down inverse modelling will be of special interests. |
