Session Title | Budgets Of Greenhouse Gases And Other Biogenically Active Species |
Main Convener | Dr. Prabir Patra (Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology, Japan) |
Co-convener(s) | Prof. Siew Moi Phang (University of Malaya, Malaysia) Dr. Shilong Piao (Peking University, China) Dr. Marcel van der Schoot (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia) |
Session Description | Atmopheric concentrations of greenhouse gases (GHGs; e.g., CO2, CH4, N2O) have continued to rise globally due to a net increase emission from the earth’s surface. In addition, to the GHGs there are large number of biologically produced species (non-CH4 hydrocarbons, methyl halides, bromoform etc.) that affect the composition and chemistry of the earth’s atmosphere. We welcome contributions on measurements and modelling of concentrations, emissions and sinks of all the biogenically active species in the earth’s environment. |
