Session Description | Climate change and its impacts on associated natural and man-made systems have received much scientific attention over the last few decades. In particular, the effects of climate change on regional hydro-climatological processes are critical because of the physical links between the climate system and the hydrological cycle. Such interactions often cause significant impacts on society, especially in developing regions where natural resources might have been in a state of stress. This session is intended to address and advance our understanding of Climate Change and its Impact on Hydro-climatology Potential topics include, but are not limited to: (1) recent changes of water discharge and sediment load in the large river; (2) hydro-climatological extremes and variability; (3) the interactions between climate change and hydrology; (4) the predictability of the hydro-climatological processes; (5) the climate change projections; (6) predicting hydrological response to climate change. |
