Session Description Since rainfall intensity increases in recently years due to climate change, as well as the earthquake with high potential at east and south-east Asia, shallow and deep seated landslides raises serious disaster problems and imposes tremendous environmental impact. Monitoring of landslides via multi-disciplinary technologies is enlisted the priority for the decision making support on countermeasures. This session is proposed to examine issues of appropriate monitoring methods or surrogates, including remote sensing, surface, and subsurface sensors, to detect any possible movement of slopes in fields. Potential concept and practices based on the engineering measures are encouraged to reveal. These achievements can provide an integrated solution in landslide monitoring.
