Session Description | Landslide is one of the common disasters around the world, which would lead to the loss of lives, properties and the damage of infrastructure. Human activities, different geotechnical materials, environment and many nature driving forces, such as gravity, rainfall and earthquake, would cause different scale and types of landslides. Before finding the solutions for hazard mitigation, it is a very important issue to understand the mechanism and process of landslide. We welcome contributions from different disciplines: (1) Field observation of slope failure. (2) Physical modeling of slope failure. (3) Numerical simulation of slope failure. |
