Session Description | This session focuses on improving our understanding of El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) complexity, which includes the dynamics leading to its spatial diversity and temporal characteristics. This includes studies that investigate ENSO’s interaction with the climate mean state, annual cycle, MJO, IOD, and other modes of climate variability. Further, we welcome contributions that address ENSO predictions and predictability, ENSO’s societal impacts, as well as potential changes of ENSO complexity in the past and future. |
