| Session Description | Groundwater resources serve as a vital source of regional water supply. Without proper management of the available groundwater resources can lead to serious environmental issues such as land subsidence or seawater intrusion. Before applying any management practice, it is essential to have an accurate assessment of the groundwater system. In this session, we focus on the assessment of groundwater resources with a focus on issues of near surface investigation and modeling. This session welcomes studies related to numerical modeling and field investigation. Traditional hydrogeological approaches, geophysical approaches, and geochemical approaches are welcome. We especially encourage interdisciplinary studies that apply state of the art of hydrogeological and/or modeling approaches. |
