Mission Statement

This is my written undertaking to stand for this position and to and upon being elected to serve.

Upon being elected I intend to serve the society by upholding the main goal of AOGS - to promote geophysical science and public benefits for Asia and Oceania. In the role of IG Section president, I will focus greatly upon encouraging and enhancing contributions to the Interdisciplinary Geoscience component of the AOGS family. I have been actively participating in EGS, AGU and IUGG meetings and will continue to do so, but in the future it will be very much with the aim of highlighting and promoting the unique and often groundbreaking work that is carried out by colleagues throughout the Asia-Oceania region. My own work by its very nature is interdisciplinary and I will use this inclusive research philosophy to encourage others to participate in the AOGS experience.
