Registration Policy (Registration Opens 09 Apr)

Authors/Presenters

  1. It is expected that at least one author attends the meeting to present the accepted abstract.
  2. Authors whose abstracts are accepted must register their meeting attendance by 4 Jun 2012.
    • Non-member authors need register and pay fees by 4 Jun 2012, or papers will be withdrawn
    • Member authors need register attendance by 4 Jun 2012 or papers will be withdrawn
  3. At the time of registration, the IDs of the abstracts to be presented must be provided. Otherwise, the abstract is considered NOT registered and risk being withdrawn.
  4. Each registration fee covers TWO presentations maximum. An additional registration fee applies for each abstract in excess of the TWO presentations/abstracts.
  5. Authors are NOT eligible for the one-day pass. One-day pass is strictly for industry participants who do not submit abstracts and/or make presentations.
  6. Registration confirmation is subject to payment being received. Once payment is received, the transaction records can be viewed / printed online.
  7. Student Registration Requires Identification. You will be required to upload a scanned copy of your student proof at the end of the registration process. Acceptable documents for student proof are:
    1. Your matriculation card with clear indication of the expiry date.
    2. A status proof letter endorsed by your school, which should show the following information:
      1. Student name
      2. Student matriculation number (student ID)
      3. Expiry date
      4. University name

Retirees

  • Retirees are defined to be the delegates who are over the age of 60 and are not employed more than 10% of full time in a professional capacity.

Industry Participants

  • Industry Participants are defined as individuals who do not submit abstract and do not make presentations.
  • An Industry Participant is eligible to purchase a One-day pass for the chosen meeting day. The pass holder is entitled to attend all sessions for the day.
  • If attending more than 2 days, full fee is applicable and as shown in AOGS/AGU/EGU - Members/Non Members Category.
  • One-day rates are not applicable to Authors and Presenters

Cancellation/Withdrawal Policy

  • Is applicable to any purchases, including field trips, tours, conference registration, optional items, etc.
  • There will be no refund for cancellation/withdrawal received after 25 Jun 2012.
  • For cancellations before 25 Jun 2012, a SGD80 administrative fee applies.

Indemnity

  • While the organizer will make every effort to screen operators and observe best safety practices, the individual must accept personal responsibility for insurance against travel risk and injury.
  • AOGS encourages all participants to purchase adequate travel and personal insurance.
  • Participants on field trips/tours agree to indemnify AOGS against any claims as arising from injury or loss sustained during the outings.

    • 6 August 2012 will be the last day for processing payment by credit card. After this date, please register and make payment onsite at the conference.
  2. By Telegraphic Transfer/ Demand Draft/ Cashier's Order:
    • 9 July 2012 will be the last day for accepting payment by this method.
    • An additional SGD80 administrative fee will be charged to anyone who chooses this payment method. Please add the amount to your payment.
