Introducing the Asia Oceania Geosciences Society’s Mentor-Mentee Program
Free of Charge – Open to All AOGS2025 Attendees

We are excited to announce the launch of the Society’s Mentor-Mentee Program at the 2025 Annual Meeting. This initiative is open to all attendees and designed to foster meaningful connections, facilitate knowledge exchange, and support personal and professional growth within our AOGS community.

The eight sections of the society: AS, BG, HS, IG, OS, PS, ST and SE are represented by one or more designated coordinators. The Overall Coordinator is in charge of the entire program.

About the Program
The Mentor-Mentee Program pairs experienced professionals with early-career individuals or those seeking guidance in their specific areas of interest. Whether you are looking to share your expertise as a mentor or gain insights and direction as a mentee, this program provides a supportive environment for collaboration and learning within the society. Let’s grow together!

How It Works

1. Sign Up (01 Apr to 27 May, 2025)
1.1 Visit the registration portal in MARS (Attendee Options ⟶ Registration)
1.2 Once you have selected either “Mentee” or “Mentor”, you will be asked to complete a short profile form highlighting your areas of expertise, goals (for mentors), or areas of interests and aspirations (for mentees).

2. AI Enabled Matching
Our AI matching system analyses participant profiles to identify the most compatible mentor-mentee pairs based on areas of expertise, career goals, and shared interests.

3. Participation
3.1 Once matched, you can initiate meeting requests to the respective mentors/mentees that have been recommended to you through the system.
3.2 Once your meeting requests have been accepted by the mentors/mentees, attend the pre-scheduled mentorship sessions or arrange additional meetings during the conference.

Sign Up Today

Registration is open from 01 April 2025 until 27 May 2025, so don’t miss this chance to engage with the Society’s vibrant community. For questions or assistance, please contact the Mentorship Program Team

Join us in building lasting professional relationships and empowering the next generation of leaders in our field!
